baby love

Alex got a her first baby doll for Christmas and it was love at first sight. Ryan and I didn't think that she would be that excited about dolls (she has never been interested in her stuffed animals or other doll-like toys), but we were wrong. She kisses, hugs, rocks, feeds, and plays hide and seek with her baby (she puts a blanket over her baby and then puts her arms and hands out to the side and says in a high pitched voice--where is the baby--although she says it in Alex language). She brings it everywhere we go (but of course--naked).

shark snuggle

What is better than warm bath at the end of a long day? A shark snuggle (I couldn't agree more)!

a quick snow

The snow in Portland did not last long. It snowed 2 days--both days the snow was gone by the late morning/early afternoon. But we did go out to enjoy it while we could (of course, we could not stay out too long because Alex will not leave her hat and gloves on :).

Yes that is eye make up remover--what can I say--her baby was thirsty and she was not going to go outside without it.

art class

Alex has been taking an art class at the Children's Museum for the last month. Every week there are fun new things to explore. Last week Ryan got to go with us (he had the day off). Alex has a lot of fun, although she does not like her hands dirty with paint (we wash her hands a lot--her request)--good thing she can not see her face!
