The Easter bunny left Alex a basket with a book and candy. Unfortunately, Alex is unable to eat jelly beans and chocolate bunnies so mom and dad had to help out. That afternoon we got to go over to Lee and Bob's for Easter dinner and an Easter egg hunt! Ryan managed to hide one egg (plastic) so that none of the kids (over 10 of them) could find it! He is planning on keeping it a secret.

trapped
Alex frequently gets trapped under furniture as she tries to figure out how to move forwards instead of backwards. She rocks on all fours, moves herself backwards, and pivots in circles on her stomach...we are enjoying the little time we have left before she is really on the move!
yikes!
When I left the room Alex was sitting on her bottom in the boppy. When I came back she was kneeling over the toy basket looking through it! I had just enough time to snap a quick picture before she toppled.
4 genenerations
Dad (grandpa), Grandonna (great grandma) and Kevin (not pictured) stopped by on their long drive from moving Grandonna to Washington.

papa's place
Alex had her first trip to Papa Jake's and had so much fun! She loved sitting in his special chair...she was ready to set up camp for the night there. We got to go on walks, to the park, make yummy food, and relax. Ryan and Papa Jake even started teaching Alex chess. Alex did great on both legs of the six and half hour drive. We can't wait to go back this summer!

lovin' grandma and grandpa
Grandpa and Grandma got to come visit for a few days during grandma's spring break (grandpa took a few days off). We had a lot of fun--eating, swimming, hanging out with friends, going to Powell's, and of course Starbucks!
