Alexis started rolling by herself yesterday from her tummy to her back! She surprised herself when it happened (and me). Today she has rolled several more times--often times seeming more intentional (I think she was motivated to get off her tummy).

sweet talker
Alexis talks a lot! However, she seems to be shy in front of other people. She saves all of her talking for when she is home with mom and dad. One weekend we had visitors and she was fairly quiet all weekend, however Sunday evening when the house was nice and quiet again she talked, and talked--for an hour straight (she had to get it all out).
baby whisperers
Alex can be hard to get to sleep (unless she is swaddled, fed, and has the white noise of the radio going). Here are a few people who have had the touch!

ryan's girls meet brian's girls
On Ryan's actual birthday we met Brian, Lisa, Megan, and Lucy for breakfast at a really yummy breakfast place in Kent--Wild Wheat Bakery Cafe (who knew Kent had great restaurants?!).
ryan's birthday!
Happy 36th Birthday Ryan. It was so fun to have the Buschs' come down to my parents' to visit the day before the big day. My parents got Ryan his favorite "All American Chocolate Cake" from Costco. We had a relaxing day.

alex's first thanksgivings
We are very fortunate to have 2 Thanksgiving celebrations each year! On Wednesday night, we go to the Mosers'. This started when I had to work Thanksgivings and when Lee and Bob thought it would be nice to have a relaxing actual Thanksgiving day with leftovers (especially for Lee's dad). Bob (with Lee's help) cooks a wonderful meal. It was fun to meet their new dog Obi!
On Thursday morning, the Jacobson troop left at 5:45 am to head up to Tacoma. Unfortunately Alex had her first cold, but she did great on the drive up--slept the whole way. Lacey enjoyed a front seat ride!
My parents cooked a delicious meal for us, John, and Marian. Alexis got to Skype with Papa Jake. The Merkles and Ryan and Alanna came over for dessert. Alexis got a lot of attention!
Uncle Ryan already being a bad influence!
Even the dogs had fun.
Alexis was wiped out by the end of the day!

a baby playground
Ryan's work is full of all sorts of fun equipment for babies. Alex got her own little therapy session with dad for lunch on Monday. Ryan is thinking of referring her for intensive, daily sessions.
alex's shady friends
On Saturday we got to celebrate Lee's 21st birthday :-) by going out to a yummy German/Alpine restaurant that Bob picked out. Everyone took turns holding Alex to keep her happy (Ryan's arms were especially soar after playing in a volleyball tournament that day)!
Aaron, Jane, and Arlo got to visit on Sunday evening.
Chillin' with Lacey.

3 months!
Alexis turned three months today! She had a couple of photo shoots (we had time because I did not have a car to go anywhere--it was in the shop) and our friend Ashley came over to visit.

double mac
Alexis got a new toy last week (Ryan picked it out for her)! She is having fun playing in it. We are also working on tummy time--it is not her favorite (hard for her physical therapist father to accept!).
What a fun weekend! Triffy and Aaron got back from their travels from Hawaii and we got to hang out with them on Friday.
John and Marian came down to visit. The picture below shows a lot of what John and Ryan spent time doing. Lacey makes sure she gets her attention too.
Saturday night Ryan, Steph, and Alex went for sushi--it was mmmm good.
